Effect Women President of USA
April 2, 2008 on 3:51 am | In Uncategorized | No Comments1. What emotion did you feel for the Hillary Clinton running for USA president ?
I feel fine about it. I wonder about her health. I know it is hard.
2. What effect do you think it will have on the country if she becomes the first USA women president?
I think I shall call her Mother of our country.
3. What are the men saying about it?
So far, I have not heard one peep. (nothing)
4. How about the kids - what are they saying about it?
They just look at me funny. Like so what! They don’t know about what women had to go through, to get where they are today.

My self esteem was in the junk yard
March 22, 2008 on 1:55 pm | In Uncategorized | No CommentsMy self esteem was in the junk yard.
My grade school teachers could not teach me. My co-students ridiculed me.
Entering the 6th grade I could not read or write or pass a simple test including math. My new sixth grade teacher was just as old as my grandmother. It was her time and kindness that taught me to read. She was the first to note that perhaps I was a smart student but hampered by dyslexia.
She began a process of learning techniques that 6th grade year, which helped me move on to 7th grade. I could now a read book but still could not pass certain test or write a proper sentence.
Later on, I made it into college and manage to get certified in medical records. (Taking extra credits in writing and English. Helping more to break down ways to improve my spelling & writing )
My disability does affect my career choose since I still have dyslexia. After deciding to just start my own business I did some research and found the best income was owning a commercial cleaning service. Something I could not fail out! I at least could clean without having to spell or write. Along the way, I started an online website call swaphandmedowns.com.
What encourage me design my first website swaphandmedowns
I saw needy mothers buying second hand clothes. I thought; why not give the donated clothing directly to the parents.
It was a challenge to get the home page up. I had to write and spell and write a proper sentence.
I don’t know how I was able to write and publish my first website because of my problem with my dyslexia. I think I over came the odds because I knew it was going to benefit so many families. Website designing is also a creative way for me to think and work.
Next, I put up educational site to help parents with getting free college help and scholarships.
Once in awhile, I will get a mean email telling me about all the misspellings on my sites. I kindly reply back to them. I tell them why.
My commercial cleaning service was successful until a few years ago. I was badly injured in a car crash caused by a careless driver. I now was the disabled. So I had to give that career up.
Being my websites were already completed at the time of car accident, I can still enjoy helping families and encouraging others to learn more.
I have left my low self esteem in the junk yard way back when. And I continue each day to keep on trying to improve my spelling & writing.
My 6th grade teacher passed away ten years ago. But I am sure she would be proud that she believed in that girl that could not read, but was smart.
*Dyslexia is not a disease. (It’s a condition that you are born with, and it often runs in families. People with dyslexia are not stupid or lazy. Most have average or above-average intelligence, are creative, and they work very hard to overcome their learning problems.)

What I do online all day
February 26, 2008 on 2:28 am | In about Swaphandmedowns | No CommentsTaking a break from work on my sites I like to find out about other websites. So took some time this week and signed up for Facebook and Eons.
I found Facebook confusing. I found Eons friendly. (read a post at Eons today. They were freaking out because a 15 yr.old joined)
Most days including weekends and holidays I have over 200 emails a week to review for link exchanging.
Allot of it can be spam. But it is important that I exchange links with other sites that can provide some important information to my visitors.
I read allot about search engines facts. I think the men are better at this search engine stuff then women are.
Most of it is math. It can be fun if you like a challenge. Trying to stay on top of the first ten pages in keyword search is getting harder to do these days.
Now that the internet has caught on all over the world including China, there are millions of websites online.
And now there are all kinds of don’t do this and don’t do that on your site or you will get dropped from the search engines.
My brother just got married and his wife (Laura) wanted to put up a website. She got so confused and I offered to help her.
She worked along with me so I could teach her something about it.
When she kept asking me what meta tags where I gave up and build a website about it all over at Relevant search engine
Laura I hope you are visiting that site and keeping up with me..

Sometimes I feel like I am dragging a horse and wagon around all day trying to get people to swap and recycle all the stuff they have laying around the house. Stuff they don’t need that is.
Just yesterday I went upstairs and looked in my daughters bedroom. She has over stuffed her closets with clothing from 10 years ago. They don’t fit her anymore.
Clothes that she does not seem to be able to let go. (she has to donate those clothes or else!) Clutter is no good.
Every morning she is bugging me about where is my black socks ? Or can I use your shirt for work.
So what good it having all those clothes and nothing to wear?
So are we a society that is scared to let go of things.
Maybe losing a friend or family member to death can cause it.
I think we are afraid to let go because it might not ever come back again.
I recall a few years ago a women emailed over at www.swaphandmedowns.com and asked if my members would send her some used clothing for work.
After reading her email and noting that she was abused and in hiding from her husband I decided to give her my used clothes.
I went to my closets and gave her what little I had.
you know what I DO NOT MISS THOSE DUMB CLOTHES AT ALL!
I still wonder today if she is ok.
Somewhere at there someone needs a friend. As a group we will be helping so many. Visit my eon group

Free Scholarship Search are they worth searching for?
In the United States, the total college scholarship endowment can be over one billion dollars at many of the richest universities.
I say with over a billion dollars out there that someone should find searching for scholarships should be worth it!
For instance, Harvard University has 10,800 separate endowments.
I located some that are really good to apply for. And placed them over at Under page called scholarship & grants Scholarships and Colleges.com
Tip: A cover letter should always accompany a proposal.

Career tip for women: Did you know women have been involved in computers since computers were first envisioned. They are present in all facets of computing and information technology. Despite this, their presence is comparatively small in these fields.
Yet, there is a growing demand for IT workers with leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills in order to combat the general drop in worker retention and ineffective training. Thus, computer science is a good paying career.
